makers from Dayton, Ohio awed the world, and their dog FLYER, with their successful flights on the
sand dunes of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in December 1903.
This technological breakthrough left much of the world in disbelief, inspiring the rapid growth in aeronautics and transportation over the last century. The original Flyer is displayed in the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum.
